An Oath Made For Time And All Eternities...
Every girls' dream is a once in a lifetime perfect wedding. Candle lighting, Banquets, Temple Wedding and a happy ending. We dreamt of walking down the aile with our prince charming waiting near the altar but in reality our mind is blowing away thinking of how these would cause us after the big day is over.
We are turmoiled of how we will start planning and we're afraid of how people might think of us after.
All these being said, you can't really control what others would say about you and how you choose to be wedded. It's normal. People are entitled to utter their own opinions but it doesn't mean that you will be upholding what is prescribed of you according to them. If you're afraid, you will be blinded to take an action.Well, worry no more because I am a living example that we can be able to beat that trend of a fancy wedding.lol! 😊😘😍
Now, let me tell you how we did it.
First, We set into an agreement that our wedding budget must not cost more than a hundred thousand in peso money. yeah! We tried our best not to exceed on our plans but the cost of living nowadays won't permit that; that's why we gurd up our loins for sudden expenses. Luckily, we've got a lot of supporters who helped us in terms of finances. Yes, we've got friends and families who are more done willing enough to splurged out some of their hard-earned savings.(thanks kua Ry, ate Jinky, and the rest of our families) They're so great and I love them for that.
Being so beautiful on that very special day is what every bride would want when they face their groom but in my case, I've decided not to get a wedding planner for me not to add on the expenses. I have just consulted a friend who happened to have a background on wedding planning and olah! I had list of ideas I needed to push through with the plan.
At first, it's tiring to think of your wedding preparations but I had the entire family helping me out so why should I worry?
Our wedding was scheduled at 1pm of April, 2019.It was a Church Wedding. My groom and I had a different beliefs in religion;I being a Latter-day Saint and him being a Catholic Member. Both our families are devoted in our own faith but we managed to stand for our love for almost 8 yrs. And now were married. 👰🙏😍
It's been 10 months now since that day but the memories were still so fresh for me and it tickles with me joy and much 'kilig' ..lol😂😉
Maybe in my next blogs I will share our lovestory but for now let's focus on the wedding.
The entourage - - We see to it that the people involved are closed to our hearts and families would would be our top priority. That is why our Ninangs and Ninongs were the ones closest to our heart (it's like a star-studded event for me specially when I saw my Ninangs well-dressed and super lovely), our secondary sponsors were just composed of our siblings partnered together while our bridesmaids and groomsmen were our best of friends since highschool. As for their gowns, I pre-ordered it online months before so that after the wedding it can already be theirs. We didn't even hire a make-up artist instead, we do it ourselves and with the help of a volunteering friend.(thanks to Esther) 😁😘I remember when I am done doing my make-up, I attended to my made of honor, making her ready for the event.😁 Funny little thing but obviously, that's part of my masterpiece..😅😂
Who would ever think this is possible but we did… Yes, I personally plan for my wedding starting from the very small details:
I prepared for the flowers, brooches , souvenirs and even the invitations are personally crafted by yours truly;I just asked the help of my brother who happened to be an I. T. expert to do the lay outing for us and my husband and I carefully handicrafted other details for the design.Yay! We made it!❤️😇
Well, not just that, We also did our prenups together with my sis-in-law and brother as the videographer and our clothes are from the Ukay - Ukay.😂
The funny thing was we did it without any hassle and without spending so much. 👍Now, what about my gown?
Woooah, I am very happy because my now mother-in-law devoted her time tailoring my gown. 😭😇😍I felt so honored when I finally got of hold of it because it was her who designed it personally for me to wear on our wedding day. It's not just for the purpose of stripping on the budget but I treasured the love and devotion she showed for me. (so lucky to have such a loving 2nd mom)😇😇😭
Well, my viel and 10-foot-long trail was given to me by my Ninang(my godmother) who tirelessly gave me gifts even when I was a kid up until my wedding. It's so rewarding that she also lend me her car as my bridal car.(I am so touuched! ) 😇
I had really mixed emotions that time when many people helped in the wedding preps. Our emcees were my colleagues whose expert in their craft (Ma'am Joy and Lex) and they had it as a gift for me..😊🎁
As a couple we give focus on the food we will offer during the banquet. We transacted with a caterer who gave us a good deal.(Special thanks to Masaraga Catering and Convention) We only spend 250 Pesos/ pax. And these includes 5 courses of delicious meals, a bottle of good wine, a 3 layer cake and a package of venue decorations all for free when you had 200 guest and above.😊
During the wedding day, I didn't expected to be having a beautiful set up and a sumptuous meal able to fed 200 people and having a well-attended program and ceremony. And you know what, with a very low cost, we were still able to buy 200 kls.of live pig to be butchered in our residence for people not able to came to our venue.Check it out, the seller only gave it to me for 10 thousand pesos only. And in the groom's residence, they bought another pig to be butchered for the extra guests. You're maybe wondering how we manage to have them all at once but I believed it is by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father that everything were all set on a perfect timing.😇
We were all so happy after the wedding. It may seem to be just another wedding but in our hearts as husband and wife, we felt so fulfilled knowing that after the wedding, we don't have to worry about thousands and hundreds of debts from the loan sharks and were able to make all our guests smile while leaving.
In general, we only spent not less nor more than php 250 000. 00 for the entire wedding. And after that day we had a honeymoon fund given to us by our lovely guests and we used it to begin with our small family. 10 mos. After the big day, we already have bought a lot where we are now planning to build our humble abode.
We are turmoiled of how we will start planning and we're afraid of how people might think of us after.
